Terms, Conditions & Warranty Information

Bluecore Plumbing Pty Ltd
Trading as Bluecore Plumbing & Gas
Plumbing Licence: PL 11367 | Gas Fitting Licence: GF 23757

These Terms and Conditions apply to plumbing, drainage, gas fitting and associated services provided by Bluecore Plumbing & Gas, unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by law.

1. Quotations & Acceptance

  • Quotations are based on the agreed scope of works and information available at the time of quoting.
  • Quotations remain valid for 14 calendar days, unless otherwise stated.
  • Quotations must be accepted before work is scheduled or commenced.
  • Work outside the agreed scope is excluded unless otherwise approved.
  • Additional work or variations will be explained, priced and approved before proceeding. Written acceptance will be obtained where required by law or contract.

2. Deposits & Booking Confirmation

  • A 30% deposit may be required to secure bookings, order materials or schedule larger works, where legally permitted.
  • Any required deposit will be clearly outlined in the quotation.
  • Where legislation restricts the deposit amount, the deposit will be reduced to the maximum legally permitted amount.
  • Bookings requiring a deposit are confirmed once the quotation is accepted and the agreed deposit is received.
  • Deposits will be credited towards the total quoted price.
  • Progress payments, where applicable, will be outlined in the quotation or relevant contract and comply with applicable legislation.

3. Payment Terms

  • Residential Customers: Payment is due upon completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing. This requirement will be communicated during the initial phone call or booking process and confirmed before work commences.
  • Approved Builders & Trade Accounts: Payment is strictly due within 12 calendar days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Larger Projects: Deposits and progress payments may apply as outlined in the accepted quotation or contract.
  • The customer responsible for payment will be identified when the booking or quotation is accepted.
  • All outstanding balances must be paid by the agreed due date.

4. Overdue Payments

  • Invoices remaining unpaid after the agreed due date will be considered overdue.
  • Payment reminders may be issued for outstanding invoices.
  • Bluecore Plumbing & Gas reserves the right to pursue recovery of outstanding amounts through lawful means.
  • Further non-essential work may be postponed or declined where previous invoices remain unpaid, subject to existing contractual and legal obligations.
  • No automatic late-payment penalties or interest will apply unless separately agreed in writing and legally enforceable.

5. Access & Site Conditions

  • Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the areas required to complete the agreed works.
  • Work areas should be cleared of personal belongings and obstructions before arrival.
  • Access to water, electricity and other necessary services must be provided where reasonably required.
  • Unexpected access difficulties or site conditions may result in additional costs, which will be discussed and approved before proceeding.

6. Unforeseen Works & Additional Repairs

  • Plumbing and gas systems may contain concealed defects that cannot reasonably be identified before work commences.
  • Unexpected issues may include corrosion, damaged pipework, non-compliant installations, restricted access or deteriorated fittings.
  • Where additional repairs or modifications are required, customers will be informed of the findings and any additional costs before work proceeds.
  • Unsafe installations may require work to be paused or affected services to be isolated until they can be made safe.

7. Existing Plumbing & Gas Systems

  • Bluecore is responsible for the work performed under the agreed scope.
  • Existing pipework, fixtures and appliances may have defects or deterioration unrelated to the work performed.
  • Repairing or replacing one component does not guarantee the condition or performance of other existing components.
  • Any significant defects identified during our work will be communicated to the customer.
  • Bluecore remains responsible for damage or defects caused by its own work and for all applicable statutory obligations.

8. Blocked Drains & CCTV Inspections

  • Blocked drain services are charged at the agreed first-hour rate, with additional time charged in 15-minute increments. Different rates apply to work performed outside normal business hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. All applicable rates will be communicated before work commences.
  • The first-hour rate includes equipment setup, locating access points, drain clearing equipment, CCTV camera use and pipe locators where reasonably required and accessible.
  • CCTV inspections are limited to accessible sections of pipework and cannot guarantee identification of every concealed defect.
  • Clearing a blockage does not guarantee that the drainage system is free from underlying defects or future blockages.
  • Existing damage, tree roots, collapsed pipes and other defects may require further investigation or repairs.
  • If a blockage cannot be cleared, we will explain the findings and discuss any additional work and costs before proceeding.

9. Diagnostic & Inspection Services

  • Diagnostic services, fault-finding, leak detection and inspections may attract an agreed inspection or attendance fee.
  • Any applicable fee will be communicated before attendance.
  • Diagnostic fees cover the agreed assessment services and do not guarantee that a fault can be identified or repaired during the initial visit.
  • If further work is required, the proposed repairs and additional costs will be discussed before proceeding.
  • Where an agreed diagnostic service has been completed, the applicable fee remains payable even if the customer declines a separately quoted repair, subject to applicable consumer rights.

10. Customer-Supplied Fixtures & Appliances

  • Customer-supplied products must be suitable for installation and comply with applicable Australian standards and certification requirements, including WaterMark where required.
  • Bluecore may decline to install products that are defective, unsuitable or non-compliant.
  • Product defects and manufacturer warranty enquiries for customer-supplied products should initially be directed to the original supplier or manufacturer.
  • Bluecore is not automatically responsible for defects inherent in products supplied by customers.
  • Bluecore remains responsible for its installation workmanship, damage caused by its work and applicable consumer guarantees.

11. Product & Manufacturer Warranties

  • Products supplied by Bluecore may include manufacturer warranties, depending on the product and manufacturer.
  • Bluecore can assist customers with manufacturer warranty enquiries for products purchased through our business.
  • Manufacturer warranties are separate from workmanship obligations and statutory consumer guarantees.
  • Applicable manufacturer servicing and maintenance requirements should be followed.
  • Manufacturer warranty limitations do not override customers’ rights under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Workmanship & Warranty Claims

  • All work will be carried out with due care and skill and in accordance with applicable plumbing and gas requirements.
  • Customers who believe there is a defect in our workmanship should contact Bluecore with the relevant job details and a description of the concern.
  • We will assess reported concerns and provide an appropriate remedy where required by law.
  • Issues caused solely by unrelated pre-existing defects, misuse, normal wear or subsequent third-party alterations are not automatically defects in our workmanship.
  • Applicable statutory warranty and compliance obligations, including those under Western Australian plumbing legislation, remain in effect.
  • Nothing in these terms limits customers’ rights under Australian Consumer Law.

13. Property Damage & Reinstatement

  • Reasonable care will be taken to protect the customer’s property during works.
  • Where work requires cutting or removing walls, tiles, cabinetry, paving, concrete or other surfaces, this will be discussed where reasonably foreseeable.
  • Painting, tiling, landscaping and cosmetic reinstatement are excluded unless specifically included in the quotation.
  • Bluecore remains responsible for damage caused by a failure to exercise due care and skill, regardless of the exclusions above.

14. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Customers are encouraged to provide reasonable notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.
  • Where specially ordered materials or other reasonable costs have already been incurred, any proposed charges will be assessed in accordance with the agreed contract and applicable law.
  • Deposits are not automatically non-refundable.
  • Any cancellation charges or refunds will take account of work completed, materials supplied, reasonably incurred costs and applicable consumer rights.

15. Scheduling & Delays

  • Bluecore aims to attend within the agreed appointment window.
  • Emergency work, unexpected site conditions, weather or material availability may affect scheduling.
  • Customers will be informed of significant delays as soon as reasonably practical.
  • Any extensions or changes required under an applicable building contract will be managed in accordance with that contract and relevant legislation.

16. Compliance & Safety

  • Regulated plumbing and gas work will be carried out by appropriately licensed personnel.
  • Work will be performed in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Required compliance documentation will be provided where applicable.
  • Unsafe or non-compliant installations may require additional rectification before affected services can be safely operated.
  • Roof Space Safety: Where work is carried out within a roof space, electrical power will be isolated in accordance with applicable Western Australian electrical safety requirements. Customers will be advised before isolation, and power will be restored once it is safe to do so.

17. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Customers may be entitled to repair, replacement, refund, cancellation or compensation where goods or services fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer rights or statutory protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Acceptance of Terms

  • By accepting a quotation or otherwise agreeing to engage Bluecore Plumbing & Gas, the customer acknowledges the Terms and Conditions provided before the agreement is entered into, subject to applicable legislation.
  • For telephone bookings, applicable pricing and payment requirements will be communicated during the booking process.
  • Where a separate written building contract applies, its terms and mandatory statutory requirements will take precedence to the extent of any inconsistency.
